The Reason....

Communion or Lord's Table and why we still observe it!

First.

It is a ordinance from the Lord.  

Jesus instituted the practice of communion at the Last Supper.  He specifically told us to continue as a remembrance of Him and His work.  

He fulfilled the Old Testament of the Passover Lamb. I Corinthians 5:7   

By His shed blood, we have been passed over from death to life.  Exodus 12:23.

Second.

We glorify God by our observance.

We remember Jesus and what He has done for us.

 1 Corinthians 11:26

For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim 

the Lord's death till He comes.

We proclaim God's love and that the power of sin 

was broken over us.

Third.

It is a time of where we can examine ourselves.

1 Corinthians 11:28

A time of repentance.

Every person born again can partake.

There is no rule or mandate as to how often or where.

Jesus simply said, "As often as you do this."

At church or alone at home,
