You're on a road, traveling.
He is walking with you.
The conversation is heavy.
The past few days have been traumatic.
Your hopes and dreams have been dashed.
He is a stranger, yet seems so familiar.
He asks questions He should already know.
All day He walks with you.
Behind your despair, you feel at peace somehow.
He tells you it was necessary.
He explains the prophets and scriptures.
You listen, but not yet see.
You now have questions and urge Him to continue.
It is late.
You sit with Him and eat.
He breaks bread with you.
Suddenly, your eyes open.
Now you see.
You know!
Jesus is with you!
